NOTD | Essie - In The Cab-Ana

Hey everyone! So todays post is my first nail or the day and seeing as I am a huge fan of nail polish, I felt I really ought to do one. :) So the shade I am currently wearing is Essie's 'In The Cab-Ana which is a lovely bright turquoise/blue. I am a huge Essie fan in the summer months. I just think their colours are perfect for the sunshine and can really give your outfit a boost. They only cost between £5.99 and £7.99 which I think is brilliant for such good quality.

I have wanted this polish for a while and ended up finally purchasing it along with a few other products on BeautyBay. You can see what else I bought here if you fancy a look. :) Anyway, as soon as I applied the polish to my nails, I fell in love. It was everything I thought it would be and was so bright  and summery! The formula is brilliant as nearly all Essie polishes are but this also looked great and very opaque after just one coat. I applied a second purely out of habit really. :) I'm not sure the photos really do the colour justice, I think its a lot brighter in person.

So if you are looking for a new summer nail polish then I highly recommend this one! Any other Essie polishes I should try for summer?

Selfridges Summer Beauty Box

Hey ladies! Hope your weekend is going well and you've had a chance to enjoy some of the rare sunshine we have been having the last couple of days. Its been lovely outside its just a shame I've had to work through some of it. Boo! Anyway on to todays post. The other day I saw a few people tweeting about purchasing the Selfridges Summer Beauty Box. I had no idea what this was so quickly logged onto the website had a little look. As soon as I saw the photos I knew I had to get one!
The Selfridges Summer Beauty box costs just £25 and included nine designer and high end brand products to test out and enjoy related to summer, basically its like a luxurious Glossybox. The products value all adds up to an amazing £70 which is fantastic seeing as you only pay a quarter of that. I couldn't believe these boxes existed and I had never heard of it before! Unfortunately they are all sold out now which sucks but I thought I would share with you what was inside this limited edition box.

Let me just quickly say, that the packaging is amazing! First up, it arrives in what looks like a standard cardboard box but when opened, it has the signature Selfridges yellow interior with super cute tissue paper around the box itself. The box is a lovely shiny white with 'Selfridges & Co' printed on the corner and again filled with super cute yellow polka dot tissue paper complete with a 'wow' sticker. I just think its a really nice touch and makes you feel as if you have purchased something really special. If this is how Selfridges packs all their products, then I think I might order more from there when I really feel like treating myself. Anyway, onto the products..

Aqua Splash Tangle Teezer. RRP £12.99. Like I have said before, my hair gets very tangled when I have just washed it and I like using these gentle brushes to comb them out. The fact that I got a full sizes brush in this box is amazing and I can't wait to test this out!

Models Own Neon Nail Polish in 'Bubblegum'. RRP £5.00. You should all know by now that I am a nail polish addict so I was really excited! This colour is gorgeous and I have used Models Own polishes before so I know that the formula is brilliant and is very long wearing. The perfect shade for the summer and when you have that golden tan.

St Tropez Instant Glow Face Lotion 50ml. RRP £10.25. This looks really good, St Tropez products can be really expensive and I'm not the sort of girl to spend lots of money on tanning products that I am totally useless with. However this looks like something I would definitely try out. Its a lotion that you just smooth onto your face and neck and leaves you with a golden glow, perfect for when real sunbathing just isn't an option.

Molton Brown Aqua Shower Gel 100ml. Full size RRP £18.00. I love Molton Brown products! They always smell amazing and this one is no exception. Its a really summery kind of smell and very refreshing. Its also a reasonable size too so it will last a while too. I cant wait to use this!

Lancaster After Sun 40ml. Full size RRP £22.00. I'm always one for finding a really good aftersun. There is nothing worse then working on that perfect tan and then not protecting yourself afterwards. Very interested to see how this one works and whats more, its also a tan maximiser too! So its works to prolong and deepen your tan slightly as well. If this works, then I have a feeling I'll be hooked.

Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray 50ml. Full size RRP £20.50. So excited to see this was included in the box! I have been wanting to try Bumble and Bumble products for ages and this surf spray looks pretty good! Who isn't after that sexy, wind swept look to their hair that you can achieve naturally on a beach? This can do it for you! So excited to give this a go. I hope it works because I would love to be able to achieve that look on a daily basis.

Caudalie Beauty Elixir 30ml. RRP £10.35. Eeek! Can't believe this was included in the box! I have heard so many brilliant things about this product around the blogging world and now I can try it for myself. Its apparently meant to help tighten pores and smooth out your skin whilst giving your skin added radiance. Should be interesting to see what whether this will work for me or not. I'll keep you posted. :)

Erborian BB Cream 12ml. Full size RRP £13.00. I like trying out different BB Creams and this one looks pretty interesting and claims to give you the 'Baby Skin' effect. I have never heard of this brand before but I'll give it a go as its meant to blend into your skin perfectly for a good tonal coverage. Exciting stuff. :)

Jane Tran Hair Clips. RRP £8.00. This is a cute little extra and something I'll use just to see what they look like. I haven't ever heard of the brand or anything but I am assuming they are pretty good. Just a nice little extra touch.

So overall I am really impressed with Selfridges Summer Beauty Box and everything thats included. Its well worth the £25 and gives you lots of new designer products to try out. Did any of you get hold of this box? What did you think or the products included?

Mini Shopping Trip

Hey lovelies, hope you are all well and have been enjoying this gorgeous sunshine!

I just wanted to show you guys a few things I bought the other day. It was just a little shopping trip but I still managed to pick up some really cute pieces. I wanted things that I could take on holiday with me too which is why they may seem pretty summery! So first up, I saw these gorgeous summer sandals in River Island and fell in love instantly. There was a size 4 on display so I tried it on and not only did it fit like a glove, it was also super comfortable! They were only £35 which I don't think is bad for a quality pair of shoes. I love the fact that they are white, so they will go with everything and the gold detailing around the toe and the top of the sandal is very classy and dresses them up a little so they would be perfect on a summers evening in a pub garden.

With the sandals purchased, I then headed to good ol' Toppers. There a lot of vests around at the moment with huge arm holes that can show everything off! I just wanted a cute little bandeau top to wear underneath and everywhere I had looked, were selling them at ridiculous prices (I mean you Hollister!). Why on earth someone would pay £24+ for a tiny little bandeau top is beyond me? However Topshop were selling almost the exact same thing for half price. I was sold straight away and went for this super cute coral number. I cant wait to wear it! Also in Topshop, I had a little nose at the jewellery and found this gold necklace which I thought was lovely! It will look great with pretty much everything I own and can make a few of my shirts and tops look a little edgier. For £7.50 I had to get it.

Lastly I had a little poke around in H&M, which I haven't done in a long time. H&M can either have lots of bargains or nothing at all, a little like Primark I guess, but better quality. I didn't find much other than this basic cream coloured vest. Its really cute with a nice little diamond/tribal kind of pattern to it. Its very simple but I think it will look great paired with a pair of coloured shorts or something. It also has those baggy arm holes again so my newly purchased bandeau will look brilliant underneath too!

So there you have it, my latest purchases! Have you bought anything recently? Are you stocking up on your summer wardrobe?

Beauty Bay Haul

Hey ladies! Hope you are all feeling fantastic and have been enjoying the little bit of sunshine we had over the weekend. It certainly makes a change from all that rain and definitely cheers you up. Todays post is just showing you a few things I picked up from Beauty Bay the other week. For those of you that have never shopped with Beauty Bay before, its basically a beauty blogger's paradise. Its a one stop online beauty store stocking anything from make up to hair care to beauty accessories. You name it, they sell it. I just love it and tend to get pretty carried away when I start adding things to my basket. So here is what I picked up.

Big Sexy Hair Extra Big Volume Shampoo £7.16. I have wanted to try this range for a very long time but either found something else before I got round to it or never had the money spare. Well I finally purchased a couple of their products, this shampoo being one of them. Those who know me will know I am a sucker for volumizing products for my hair because my hair is so fine and limp. This shampoo promises to give you that much needed boost so I am really excited to see whether it works. I didn't get the conditioner at the time because I hadn't run out of my current one just yet but if this is as amazing as people claim then I'll be getting the conditioner as soon as!

Big Sexy Hair Spray and Play Hairspray £7.16. Also for added volume I picked up this hairspray to give my hair a little extra 'oomph'. I tend to go a little crazy with the hairspray on a night out and am always looking for one that keeps my hair volumized and not flat almost straight away. Very interested to see how this works! I'll probably do a review on the Big Sexy Hair range when I have given them a fair try.

Michel Mercier Tangle Brush £10.91. I have seen this advertised before and I have always been pretty interested to see how it works. I use my Tangle Tamer every single time I wash my hair and love it to bits so this has a lot to live up too as far as I am concerned. I thought I would give it a whirl though and see if its any good, if not better. I got the brush for fine hair but it is also available for normal and think hair types.

Essie Nail Polish 'In The Cab-Ana' £8.50. Yes, another Essie nail polish. Like I said before, I just love their colours for the spring/summer months. I fell in love with this colour when I saw so many photos on Instagram but it was only available in the US for a little while. When I saw the Resort 2013 collection had been released here in the UK, I ordered this right away. I just think its gorgeous! I can't wait to paint my nails this summery shade of blue.

Yes To Carrots Lip Butter in 'Berry' £2.99. This was a total impulse buy, I needed a lipbalm and thought I would give this one a try. I have already used this and its amazing! Its really hydrating and moisturising on my lips and smells so yummy. I am really interested to try more products from this range. I am really impressed!

So thats what I purchased from Beauty Bay. If you haven't already visited Beauty Bay then check it out! Have you tried any of these products? What did you think?

lots of love

Monthly Favourites | May

Hey ladies, hope you are all well and enjoying your weekend so far. Todays post is my first ever monthly favourites post and I can't believe it is already June! Its just crazy to think that we are half way through the year already, time really flies! So anyway, it was pretty tough to choose my favourite products for the month but I managed to wittle it down to these lovelies. Heres what I think about them..

Herbel Essences Bee Strong Strengthening Intensive Hair Mask. I havent actually had this long and have only used it a couple of times but I am already in love with this hair mask. Its super nourishing for my hair and leaves it feeling soft, smooth and shiny. When I first tried this out, I got so many compliments on how healthy my hair looked which is always a great thing to hear and I can actually notice a change in my hair already after just a few uses. It also smells amazing! I have really enjoyed using this product.

Victoria's Secret Beach Weekend Body Mist. This is what I have been spritzing myself with this month and I adore it. Not only does it smell gorgeous it also reminds me of summer holidays and sunshine which is perfect pick me up when the weather is the total opposite. Smelling this has definitely cheered me up when I've looked out the window to see dark clouds and rain. I highly recommend this body mist, the scent lasts for ages too!

MAC Studio Fix Concealer. This is amazing! I'm always one for trying new concealers to hide those pesky blemishes or dark circles. This is by far my favourite this month. It literally conceals everything and I now go to this on a daily basis. Love love love!

MAC Lipstick in Lovelorn. This is the perfect lip colour for Spring/Summer. Its a gorgeous blue toned pink and because its a lustre it is very light so its the perfect every day shade. I have been wearing this nearly every single day and can't get enough of it. Another firm favourite.

MAC Tinted Lipbalm in Cheery Cheery. When I first purchased this I was a little disappointed that it wasn't very pigmented but the more I have worn it, the more I love it. It is so hydrating for my lips and I can wear it all day without feeling I need to constantly reapply it. It also leaves a lovely sheen to the lips which makes it look slightly more like a gloss then an average lipbalm. I have worn this every single day at work and adore it.

Essie Polish in Tart Deco. I have worn this nail polish pretty much every single day which is very unlike me when it comes to nail colours. I just cant stop wearing it, it just screams summer at me and is a very flattering shade. The formula is also amazing and doesn't even chip very often either which is always a great thing for me, seeing as I work in retail and chipping nails is the norm. Its seriously on its way to being one of my all time favourite nail polishes.

90210 Season One DVD. I wanted to include one favourite which wasn't beauty related and I chose this box set. I have recently been loving 90210 and have been watching the first season night after night. I'm seriously getting into it and its definitely a show I wish I watched before. I'm hooked! :)

So there we have it, the products I have been loving this month. What have you been loving this month? Have you tried any of my May favourites?
