Look Book| Spring Pastels

So its officially springtime and I can't wait for the weather to get a little warmer so we can finally start leaving the house without a super warm coat and boots! For me, Spring means pastels and this year, pastels are huge! I am a huge fan and they always really cheer me up, it makes such a change from the greys, reds and blacks that have been filling up my wardrobe.

So I decided to put together this little collage of a few things that I am absolutely loving and to give you all a few ideas if you hadn't had a chance to look round the shops lately. I've included a few sweatshirts because here in England, rocking a T shirt may be a little too optimistic some of the time. I also fell in love with these cute tie dye denim shorts even though I know realistically I will be not be wearing them for quite a few months! For those of you that just want to add a little splash of pastel to your look, then these cute mint converse would be ideal! As for accessories, pick up some shades or some simple jewellery pieces to add a little bit of springtime to your overall outfit. I'm also in love with these hair ties that don't damage your hair no matter how often you use them! They are brilliant and come in so many colours, well worth a look.

As for beauty products, there are hundreds of gorgeous ice cream shade nail polishes to brighten you up and I adore these bronzing/highlighter pearls. If anything, the packaging is just the cutest thing!

So thats a few ideas for you and some things that I am absolutely loving at the moment! Whats one of your favourite Spring trends? Do you love pastels?

Pretty Little Doodahs 1st Birthday!

Hey everyone! I can't believe it was a year ago today that I actually settled down and set up my own little blog and wrote my first ever blog post. Now having my little slice of the web means so much to me and its something I know is always there, ready for me to add to whenever I feel like it.
There is something really relaxing and therapeutic about writing about things I love. I began my blog when I was feeling a little low and it has helped me come out the other side which shows how doing something you love can totally transform you. :)

I also want to say thank you again to every single one of you that actually reads what I write and takes the time to either comment or even follow me. It means so so much to me! I always did this for me so I never in a million years thought anyone would actually want to read any of it. So thank you!

So yeah, Happy Birthday little bloggle! I hope to enjoy many more happy years of blogging in the future. :)

Lots of love

MAC Mineralize Lipstick | Grande Dame

Hey everyone! Today I wanted to share with you my latest MAC lipstick purchase and its one from their Mineralize Rich collection. I am a huge fan of MAC lipsticks incase you didn't already know and I am always looking out for the next shade to get my hands on. However, I also really like moisturising lipsticks that don't dry my lips out or stick to any dry patches throughout the day. I heard quite a few good things about these Mineralize lipsticks and thought I'd give one a try.

I settled on the shade 'Grande Dame' as its the most wearable for me and isn't too intense. I really just wanted something I could wear on a regular basis with any sort of make up whether it be natural or a little more dramatic. 'Grande Dame' is a gorgeous mid tonal rose cream and looks stunning once applied. Its the perfect subtle shade. It looks pretty pink in the photos for some reason but in person its not nearly as bright and vivid.

The formula of this lipstick is amazing. It glides onto my lips and because the bullet is slightly bigger then a regular lipstick, you only need one stroke to achieve a lovely coverage. It is super moisturising and that feeling lasts for hours and hours which is something I just love! Its not sticky and I feel like its nourishing my lips every single time I wear it. If you want something that isn't going to dry your lips out and doesn't highlight any imperfections then this could be the product for you.

MAC have recently released new shades to the collection so I can't wait to get a couple more come pay day. They are just so beautiful, I'm not sure what shades to get first!

Have you tried MAC Mineralize Rich lipsticks before? What did you think? Did you like them?

TMI Tag

Hi everyone! I have seen this TMI (Too Much Information) Tag floating around on You Tube and I thought it might be pretty fun to give it a whirl. Its a bit like an 'about me' kind of tag and there are quite a few questions so I hope you make it to the very end. :) I really like reading tag posts and I hope you enjoy this one too. So here we go...

1. What are you wearing?

Right this moment in time, I'm wearing Victoria's Secret yoga leggings, vest top with a black slouchy jumper over the top from H&M and pale pink leg warmers.

2. Ever been in love?

Yes.

3. Ever had a terrible break up?

Yes, a couple. They are not the best thing to ever go through but I think everyone has at least once.

4. How tall are you?

I'm 5'3".

5. How much do you weigh?

116 pounds... ish.

6. Any tattoos?

I have four tattoos in total. I have one on my lower back, one on my hip and one on each wrist. I am also planning on a couple more at some point.

7. Any piercings?

I have my ears pierced three times in each ear and also my belly button.

8. OTP?

I had no idea what this even was so I actually had to google it.. slightly uncool I know. At least now I know it means One True Pairing in a fandom. So I am going to go with Klaus and Caroline from The Vampire Diaries.

9. Favourite Show?

I couldn't possibly choose just one! I have way too many that I just love.. such as Greys Anatomy, Pretty Little Liars, Vampire Diaries, True Blood, Made In Chelsea... the list goes on.

10. Favourite Bands?

Actual bands..? I like mainly solo artists so I'm going with One Direction.

11. Something you miss?

I'm going with someone and it would have to be my Grandad. I miss him every single day.

12. Favourite Song?

I can't choose just one. How can someone choose just one favourite song? Way too many!

13. How old are you?

I am 24.

14. Zodiac sign?

I am a Capricorn.

15. Quality you look for in a partner?

Someone who can make me laugh, isn't too into themselves, someone who is honest and someone who cares. I also like someone who has aspirations.

16. Favourite quote?

'Que Sera Sera'. I try to remember it when things get me down.

17. Favourite actor?

This changes a lot but currently, I would say Leonardo Dicaprio is my favourite.

18. Favourite colour?

I like lots of colours... maybe pink or black?

19. Loud music or soft?

Depends on my mood... normally loud.

20. Where do you go when you're sad?

When I feel low I find a cuddle with Skye my westie always makes me feel better. Cant go wrong with a cuddle! :)

21. How long does it take you to shower?

If I need to be quick then I can probably manage it in 10-15 mins. If I don't have a time frame then I'd run myself a bath and I could be in there for 45 mins?

22. How long does it take you to get ready in the morning?

If I have work then I like to allow myself an hour and a half. If its a day off then as long as I want/need. :)

23. Ever been in a physical fight?

My sister and I had the occasional scrap when we were younger but nothing major. There was this one time at school though when I was maybe in year 8 or something and this girl was being so horrible to me and had been for ages. So I just turned round one day and totally slapped her hard across the face. She was so much bigger than me but I didn't seem to care. I remember being so shocked I'd actually done it, I went home. Haha, so funny!

24. Turn on?

Genuine people, chatty and friendly people, people who are funny and that think about others.

25. Turn off?

Braggers, two faced people, self centred people and people that think they are better then everyone else.

26. The reason I started blogging?

I have always loved writing and had gone through a really horrible time, suffering with anxiety that I just wanted to give something new a try. I had read quite a few blogs and thought I could probably do it too. I loved it as soon as I started and am so happy I did.

27. Fears?

28. Last thing that made you cry?

I can't exactly remember but its bound to be a movie. I cry a lot in movies.. whether they are really happy or really sad.

29. Last time you said you loved someone?

To my little baby, Skye. I find I'm always saying I love her even when she walks into my room.. Slightly sad I know.

30. Meaning behind your blog's name?

I don't actually think I have a reason bend my blog name. I really like pretty things and thought 'doodahs' covered such a wide range of things and was still a little different. I wanted to be able to write about anything so I thought it fit in nicely.

31. Last book you read?

'Breaking Pointe' by Miriam Wenger-Landis.

32. The book you're currently reading?

All of you guys! I would love to see your answers to some of these totally random questions! So let me know in the comments below if you did this tag so I can have a nose. :)

Tom Ford Bronzing Powder

I have been a huge fan of Nars 'Laguna' bronzer for so many years and I always use it to contour my face or to add a little colour to my skin in the summer. I really didn't think I would ever find anything that came close to it, in colour, texture or lasting power so when I tried this beauty I was pleasantly surprised.

I have heard so many great things about this Tom Ford bronzing powder and knew I wanted to try it. So as soon as I got paid, I quickly went online and purchased it. First up I want to say how stunning the packaging is. It looks so posh and expensive and very chic. The compact is of a good quality, so I can't see this breaking any time soon. I love the gold inside and the fact it comes with a huge mirror too! - an added bonus.

Now onto the product itself. This bronzer comes in two shades but I went for the shade 'Terra' as its matte and a great shade for not just adding a little hint of colour but great for contouring too. Its a beautiful shade once applied and looks really natural and not muddy at all. I also like the fact it doesn't have any shimmer in it. I find it so frustrating when a bronzer has lots of shimmery pigments as it always looks way too over done. This bronzer glides across my skin, lasts forever and leaves a gorgeous glow to my face.

This is pretty expensive at £68 but you get a lot of product for your money and I can see it lasting me for a very long time. So even if you use bronzer an awful lot, you'd still get your moneys worth. :)

NOTD | ImPRESS Nails

So todays nail of the day post is a little different to what I normally do as its not an actual polish shade, its some gorgeous stick on nails by imPRESS. I have actually used these nails before a year or so back and loved them so much. I was also really surprised at how long they lasted me as well, nearly a whole week without one pinging off which is brilliant as far as press on nails go. I literally saw these in Boots the other day and fell in love with the design so I thought I would treat myself.

The design I got is this gorgeous faded coral/red colour with a cute rose pattern which I thought was ideal for spring even though the weather isn't exactly 'spring like'. These are really easy to apply, you literally find the nail that fits, peel off the plastic backing and press down firmly onto your nail. Voila! A gorgeous manicure within minutes. So far I have worn this set for about two days and I haven't lost any as of yet. I am seriously hoping I can get a weeks worth out of them like last time but that might be slightly difficult what with work and such.

Have you ever tried ImPRESS nails? What did you think?

I'm back! Did you miss me?

So, this is the first time I have actually sat down and written a blog post for nearly a month now and it really feels like forever! Some of you may have wondered where I've been, or maybe you haven't even noticed which is absolutely fine! The truth is, I just lost all inspiration, motivation and my 'blogging mojo' and I just needed a little time away to let it all come flooding back. I guess you could say I took a little bloggers holiday.

I just couldn't think of anything I wanted to write about which was a horrible feeling and not one I liked having very much at all. When I started my blog a little under a year ago I had so many ideas for blog posts, I couldn't write them down quick enough and had endless lists I just created whenever something came to mind. The last month or so those lists have been pretty empty. The other problem I had was actually finding the time to take some decent photos that I felt proud of and liked enough to post. What with working full time, taking up new hobbies and applying for new jobs, I just couldn't find the time which really sucked. I also found I was putting a lot of pressure on myself to get at least three posts out a week if not more which is crazy!

However I am now back and am looking forward to writing some new blog posts and showing you guys what I have bought recently and a few products I adore. I have also decided to stop pressurising myself to do 'x' amount of posts a week or month. Its my blog after all and there shouldn't be a rule as to how many posts is okay. So yeah, the pressure is off!

If anyone else is struggling with writers block or you just feel like you need a little break, then go for it. I highly recommend it. It just gives you a chance to think up a few new ideas and gives your mind a little rest. :)

Bumble and Bumble Thickening Shampoo

For someone like me with very fine and thin hair, finding the perfect shampoo to create volume and body is so important and something I am always on the hunt for. I'm always after something a little better then the last shampoo I tried. So my latest find is this thickening shampoo by Bumble and Bumble.

This shampoo is by far the best I have tried for a really long time and I have been loving how its left my hair time and time again. It claims to make thin hair look thicker, tame fly aways and helps seal split ends which is exactly what I look for in a shampoo as well as giving me lots of volume. I have been using this now for about 3 - 4 weeks and have noticed a difference in how thick my hair looks once I've used this product. My hair doesn't look nearly as thin and the ends don't look sparse at all. It always doesn't leave me with any fly aways which is something I do struggle with when I use certain shampoos. I don't know if its helped with any split ends though, but I guess thats not as easy to notice. The other thing is not only does it do all that, it also gives me endless amounts of volume so my hair doesn't look limp or lifeless.

This product also goes a long way, you only need a little for it to work its magic so I have found I am definitely getting my moneys worth. This shampoo is a little pricey at £18.50 for 250ml but you wanted to test it out before you splash out, they also do a smaller size for just £5.50. It should be enough to give you an idea as to whether you like the product or not and is also the perfect size to travel with too!

So if you have fine, thin hair and crave a little volume and the appearance of thicker hair then I highly recommend this shampoo! I would love to try the rest of the products in this range to see if it makes more of an impact. :)

Have you tried this range before? What did you think?

January Glossybox

So its time for another monthly Glossybox post and this will actually be my last. I have now unsubscribed from Glossybox as I'm just not finding them that exciting anymore. Don't get me wrong, the products are still great most of the time but when this turns up on my doorstep, I'm just not that bothered anymore which is a shame, but I figure I have been receiving Glossyboxes for well over a year now so it makes sense.

So onto this months box. First thing I wanted to mention is that I do really like the makeover Glossybox has had. The box looks a lot classier now and the little details such as the ribbon is really cute and a nice touch. So, what did I actually receive this month?

Balance Me Super Toning Body Wash. Balance Me is a brand I have wanted to try for a little while now so this is something I'm looking forward to testing out. The fact that is a toning product is just a bonus. This mini bottle is meant to target any areas that need a little tlc which is brilliant and its actually proven to work. I can't wait to try this and this product also smells amazing!

Vaseline Essential Moisture Lotion. I have actually used this product before and I really liked it. However, I've since found moisturisers that I like even more so I will probably save this for when I go away. Its the ideal size for travelling so its still pretty useful.

Anatomicals Under Eye Patches. This looks awesome and something I know I will use. When I'm feeling tired these will be perfect for when I just need a boost to make me feel and look more awake. I really like this brand too and this is no doubt going to be something I will probably repurchase at some point.

Yu-Be Moisturising Skin Cream. This is yet another one of those multi use creams that can be used for so many different things. This is meant to be a cult brand from Japan so I am pretty excited to see what its like. I have very dry skin so this should so work wonders however, it also claims to be great for all skin types which is nice to know.

The Vintage Cosmetic Company Floral Slanted Tweezers. This was really exciting to see when I opened my box as a gel can never have too many pairs of good tweezers. I have used Tweezerman tweezers for so long but I never want to leave them in my bag incase I lose them. They aren't the cheapest thing in the world! So these will be super useful and they are also really cute, the floral design is lovely!

So thats what I received in my Glossybox this month. Overall, it wasn't a bad set of products but nothing that was going to make me want to continue with my subscription I'm afraid. I think I will kind of miss getting a box full of goodies every month but I think I am ready to try something new.

What did you think of this months box? Any other beauty boxes you think I should try?

Maybelline Baby Skin

Hey everyone! Really sorry about the lack of posts the last few days but I just haven't had a spare minute to actually sit down and get stuck into blogging. Anyway, todays post is on something I have wanted to try ever since I saw it advertised in an American magazine and thats Maybelline Baby Skin.

Now I do have very dry skin so I can normally go without a primer when I apply my makeup and I wouldn't say my pores are big at all which is worth a mention before I tell you what my thoughts were on this product. So first up, the packaging is similar to Baby Lips and is super cute and fun. Its something that definitely catches your eye on the shelf and I am a total sucker for anything like this. As for the actual product itself, it looks like its quite thick when it comes out of the tube but its actually really soft and easy to apply to the skin. Its completely clear and has a lovely texture.

When I first applied this to my skin I was really impressed, my pores looked blurred just like it said and left my skin feeling really smooth and pretty flawless considering I hadn't actually applied any make up yet. Applying my foundation afterwards wasn't necessarily any easier but did create a lovely finish as it didn't leave me with any dry patches at all. This product doesn't claim to make your make up last any longer so I was quite surprised to find that it actually helped in that respect. That was an added bonus for sure. :)

So overall I think this product does what it says. It makes pores look blurred, a lot smaller and creates a nice base for your foundation. However for someone like me with dry skin, its not something I feel like I need on a regular basis. If I wanted to make my make up last longer for an event or something, there are primers that I prefer. Having said that, if you have quite oily skin, this could be the perfect product for you without having to spend a small fortune.

Have you tried Maybelline Baby Skin before? What did you think?

L'Oreal Miss Manga Mascara

Hey everyone! So I recently picked up a few new things to try when I popped into Boots and this mascara was one of them. It was a totally random purchase and something I literally saw on a display and just liked the look of it. I had never heard or seen it before so yeah, a complete impulse buy! However, after using this for over a week now I can safely say that I am so happy I bought it.

So first up is the packaging. Its so pretty and totally different from anything I have ever used before. The hot pink and black colours make it stand out and the metallic style lid is super girly too. This mascara is also really light to hold which makes doing my lashes a lot easier and the fact the wand is really bendy helps a lot too! Its got this little join that allows you to move the wand up and down, left and right without having to actually do a lot. The brush itself, as you can see in the photo, is a little different too. It has all the larger bristles at the bottom and then it graduates into a point at the tip, which makes doing your bottom lashes a total breeze.

As for the product itself, I love it. Its a gorgeous black shade that is very intense which is perfect for me, I like my lashes to be as dark as possible. Its also available in other shades too and a waterproof version for those of you that want something a little different. It glides onto my lashes easily and doesn't leave them looking clumpy or leave any smudges throughout the day. I like my mascara to last all day without me having to constantly reapply and this does just that, as well as giving my lashes a gorgeous curl to them too.

So if you are after a new drug store mascara and fancy something thats going to create beautiful looking lashes in no time at all, then this could be for you.

Have you tried this mascara before? What did you think?

Kisses,
Luci xo

Jo Malone Candle

Hey everyone! I hope you are all well and having a fantastic weekend. It was my birthday yesterday so I have been having a great time, spending it with family and friends and getting super spoilt. I can't believe I am now 24 yeas old! Its scary! Anyway, todays post is on a sneaky little purchase I made the other day. I have been eyeing up Jo Malone candles for such a long time, I just think they are gorgeous and the scents are just amazing. As you all probably know, I am a huge candle junkie and I can't actually get enough of them. To me, there is nothing better then being all snuggled up with a candle flickering away in the evening. Its just all cosy and perfect. So I finally decided to splash out and treat myself to one.

I went for the scent 'Vanilla and Anise' as vanilla is probably one of my favourite smells. Its so comforting and can be quite subtle at the same time. Jo Malone describe it as 'create an ambience that is compelling to the senses, sensual and soothing'. Its basically got a lovely hint of vanilla to it and a slight hint of spice. To me, it just smells divine and I can't wait to actually light it.

I think the entire packaging is stunning and really makes the whole thing a little more special. You also get a set of Jo Malone matches with it too which I think is a lovely little touch and would make the entire thing a great gift for someone. If you fancy splashing out on a candle then I would recommend these for not only the scent but at how gorgeous they are to look at too. They just looks so elegant.

Have you ever tried any Jo Malone candles? Any other Jo Malone products I should take a look at?

Tom Ford Lipstick | Spanish Pink

Hello ladies! Todays post is on yet another lipstick I have added to my ever growing collection and this one is pretty special. I have longed for a Tom Ford lipstick for the longest time and I finally decided to just go for it and purchase one. They are pretty pricey at £36 and thats one of the reasons I never bought one until now. However, I can say that its actually worth every single penny!

So first up, the packaging is just gorgeous and looks really expensive, (as it should do for that price). Its just a lovely classic style and I love the gold detailing and the TF embossed on the top, its just so beautiful and makes me want to show it off at every opportunity. The shade I went for is 'Spanish Pink' which is a really pretty nude/pink shade with an almost peachy tone to it. Its the perfect go to shade that you can wear with a natural look or with a dark, smokey eye. Its a super versatile shade and something I have been looking for in a lipstick for a while.

As for the formula, this lipstick is just a dream. Its got a lovely soft, buttery texture to it which makes it easy to apply. It gives a full coverage and is also very pigmented which I love. The only thing I would say is that because its such a soft lipstick, it doesn't seem to last as long as some other lipstick brands but to be honest, its not a huge problem for me. It doesn't take long to just reapply when you get a spare minute.

I can safely say that this won't be my last Tom Ford lipstick purchase at all. Despite the price tag, this lipstick is amazing and well worth the money. I can't wait to save up for my next shade. :)

Have you ever tried Tom Ford lipsticks? What shade would you love to get your mitts on?

Mini Boots Haul

Hey everyone! So I got paid before the weekend and just like always, as well as spending its on some new clothes and bits and bobs, I also had a little splurge in Boots too. It happens every single time, I don't seem to be able to walk into a Boots store and leave empty handed. So I picked up a few essentials as per normal and then got totally distracted and ended up down the make up aisles where I found all these lovely things..

Maybelline Baby Skin. I have heard so many great things about this product and as soon as I saw it there on the shelf I just had to pop it straight into my basket. I'll probably do a separate post on this and share my thoughts once I have used it a few times. I am really excited to give it a go though and I really hope its worth the hype. I have been looking to try a pore eraser for a while now but I wanted one that was wasn't going to break the bank and this could be it. :)

L'Oreal Miss Manga Mascara. This was a total impulse buy. I just saw it on display when I was making my way to the till and just had to have it. (Those displays work on me every single time!). I am a huge fan of mascaras and love trying them all out and this one promised big 'manga style' lashes. Again I will probably do a separate post on this once I have given it a whirl.

Essie Polish in 'Sable Collar' and 'Toggle To The Top'. I have been wanted theses shades since something like November and I couldn't find them anywhere! So when I saw the Winter 2013 collection staring back at me I was beyond happy. I settled on just two of the shades even though I loved all of them and I can't wait to wear them. They are beautiful winter shades that will look great with everything.

Invisi Bobble. This just caught my eye and I was so intrigued I thought I would try it. Its meant to be a hair tie that won't snag or break your hair. I am not entirely sure how this actually works and it looks totally random, like some sort of keyring but never mind! Its worth a try and it was so affordable I won't even mind if it doesn't do the job.

L'Oreal Elvive Nutri Gloss Shampoo. I just needed a new shampoo and this just looked so pretty in the bottle I was pretty much sold already. However I did want something moisturising that made my hair look a little less dull and this is meant to do just that. The fact its sparkly is just a bonus. :)

So thats what I picked up in my latest trip to Boots. Do you ever find you get slightly carried away like me? Have you tried any of these products before? What did you think? I would love to hear about it. :)

Sanctuary Spa Goodies

Hey everyone. Its the weekend at last and that means I can finally relax, do a bit of shopping and just have some quality me time. Its very well deserved as I've had a super hectic week at work. Anyway, today's post is on a couple of Sanctuary Spa goodies I received in my Christmas stocking. I have always wanted to try Sanctuary products and occasionally I'll get hold of a sample or maybe get a little something in my Glossybox so I was super chuffed when I unwrapped these little goodies.

The products in my stocking were a foaming bath soak and a body soufflé which were both equally amazing. The Foaming Bath Soak smells amazing and is lovely and moisturising on my skin. You get a lot of bubbles out of this which is good and it left my skin feeling super soft and smooth. I also really liked the fact that its gentle on your skin. I don't always like things that can be a little harsh as my skin is quite sensitive. Moving onto the Mande Lular Body Soufflé, this product is amazing! The scent is absolutely gorgeous and lingers on my skin and has a lovely whipped cream consistency to it which makes it feel super luxurious. My skin has never felt so soft and I will defiantly be repurchasing this when my little tub runs out.

After using both these products, I now know I want to try some more of their range. I've been having a little look on their website and there are so many things I'd like to give a try. I think I'll be ordering something soon. :)

Have you tried any Sanctuary Spa products before? What did you think?

Lots of love

MAC Nocturnals Lipgloss Collection

Hey my lovelies, hope you are all well. Today I wanted to do a post on one of my Christmas presents from my sister which is one of MAC's Nocturnal gift sets. Every single year, I spend ages looking at all the gift sets MAC have to offer. They always do beautiful brush sets, eye kits and lip kits and they always have gorgeous packaging which makes me just want them all that much more. Well this time around they also did some super cute mini sets that they named Nocturnals that I just fell in love with.

I knew I had to have one of the lipgloss sets and the one my sister chose had to be the best of the bunch as far as the shades go and how wearable they are. The one I received was the Coral gift set and these shades are beautiful. In the set you get a Dazzleglass and three Cremesheens which is a great deal and they are a cute mini size, so super practical when it comes to throwing them in your handbag or clutch. They are also in the limited edition packaging with the gold, white and black top to them which gives them a slightly more expensive look.

Onto the actual shades... So first up is Moth to Flame which is described as a 'sheer neutral beige with violet pearl' and its really pretty. This is the ideal shade when you just want a slight hint of colour and a bit of sparkle. The sparkle is quite subtle though and I find this lasted on my lips for quite a while. On the Scene is described as a 'pink with pink and white pearl' and is a gorgeous pinky peach that has a lovely smooth finish to it. This is super wearable and one of my favourites of the four but its lasting power isn't as great. Moving on to Star Quality and this is described as a 'bright orange coral' however I would say that once this is applied, it looks more like a hot pink which suits me just fine. Its the perfect pink for when you want a little pop of colour and has a lovely finish on the lips. Lastly is Night is Young which is described as a 'bright red cream' and something I had been wearing an awful lot over the Christmas period. Its just a stunning red shade and lasts for hours without losing too much colour. This has to be my favourite of them all, for sure.

Overall, like all MAC lip products, these glosses are gorgeous and are great quality. The formula is amazing and the fact that they last for a good few hours makes them worth their price tag. Unfortunately the gift sets are no longer available to buy which is a shame but you can still get hold of Moth to Flame as it is actually part of their permanent line. I highly recommend it!

Did you get any of the MAC gift sets for Christmas? What did you think?

My 2013 Favourites

Hey everyone! I have finally got round to posting my 2013 favourites at long last and I am pretty excited as its my first yearly favourites post ever. I found it pretty hard to decide on what I have really been obsessed with the past year but I managed to narrow it down to a few much loved items. I did think about grouping them into different categories and then posting them separately but decided against it. I think I would have been here forever! Anyway.. onto what I have been loving in 2013.

Favourite Foundation. MAC Face and Body. I just adore this foundation and have been wearing it pretty much all year round. i am a huge fan of MAC foundations anyway and have every single type in my make up drawer for every occasion. However, this has to be my favourite. Its lovely and light but still has a fairly good coverage. It gives my skin a lovely flawless finish and doesn't cling to any dry patches and lasts for hours. I actually did a review on this here if you wanted to take a look.

Favourite Concealer. MAC Studio Finish Concealer. This has to be my all time favourite and something that I honestly couldn't live without. It conceals pretty much everything and is lovely, creamy and super easy to apply and blend into my skin. Its also the perfect size pot to take with me everywhere and I love the classic MAC design to it.

Favourite Powder. MAC Prep and Prime Transparent Finishing Powder. Every single morning I use my MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural powder which I adore but for during the day, this is what I have been turning too. Its absolutely perfect for getting rid of any shine on my skin but isn't too heavy and can be applied numerous times throughout the day without my skin feeling cakey. Its something that I love and take it in my bag wherever I go.

Favourite Bronzer. Nars Laguna. As you can see from the photo, I use this a lot and I have never found a bronzer that even comes close to this. Its the perfect shade for me as it doesn't make my skin look muddy or too orange. It is also pretty matt so it ideal for contouring my face too. This has to be one of my all time favourite products for not just 2013 but forever. I love it.

Favourite Nail Polishes. Essie 'Thigh High' and 'Fiji'. I included two polishes as I wear totally different shades whether its Winter or Summer. During the colder months I have been loving Thigh High as its such a gorgeous, deep red that looks brilliant once applied. I also love the fact it has a very subtle shimmer to it too. When the sun is shining I love wearing Fiji as its the perfect creamy pink. Its so pretty and is easily one of my favourite nail polishes to date.

Favourite Primer. Urban Decay Primer Potion. I wear eyeshadow an awful lot and I like to it last all day long without any creasing. This little tube is what makes my eye make up last all day and night without fail. Its just brilliant and a product I think every one should serious think about owning if they don't already. I just rub this into my eyelid and then I good to go. My eyeshadow glides easily over it and I know my eye make up won't budge at all.

Favourite Eyeliner. MAC Kohl Power Eye Pencil in 'Feline'. This is easily the best eyeliner I have ever owned. Its a super deep black that doesn't smudge and lasts for hours on end. I wear black eyeliner every single day as I feel it can really finish a look off so I was super happy when I tried this the first time. I love it.

I didn't include my favourite eyeshadow as it would be every single shade in my MAC Pro Palette. If you fancy taking a look at what shades I currently own then take a look at my post I did on it here.

Favourite Lipstick. MAC Lipstick in 'Hug Me' and YSL Lipstick in #29. It should come as no surprise that I couldn't choose just one lipstick as I am a huge lipstick junkie. I finally managed to narrow it down to just two and that was very difficult! First is Hug Me which is a gorgeous flesh pink shade that I always turn to if I just want a hint of colour that looks really pretty but is subtle. Of course I had to include my YSL lipstick as not only is the packaging absolutely stunning but its the perfect pink shade that looks great when I want a pop of colour. I also love the formula as it glides onto my lips without clinging to any dry patches I may have.

Favourite Lipbalm. Flexitol Lip Balm. Okay, so this isn't the most attractive product in the world and the packaging is pretty basic but this product is a total miracle worker. One of my sister's work colleagues mentioned how since she had used this her lips had been in fantastic condition and weren't dry or flakey anymore at all. I had been suffering with very dry, chapped lips for a while and thought it was worth giving it a try myself. Wow, just wow. This product is a-maz-ing and something I couldn't live without at all anymore, I would seriously panic if they ever stopped making this as my lips are now in great condition. I can wear any sort of lipstick now even the matte ones and there are no dry patches at all. This product is easily my holy grail lip balm without fail.

Favourite Moisturiser. Clarins Daily Energizer Cream. I have been using this moisturiser now for over a year and I really love it and can't see myself using anything else in the foreseeable future. Its just a lovely, thick cream that sinks into my skin and leaves it feeling soft and smooth. It doesn't make my skin greasy and combats my dry skin perfectly. I just really love Clarins skincare so much.

Favourite Hand Cream. Garnier Intensive 7 Days. This is a pretty amazing product and hardly costs a thing. I hate having dry hands in the Winter (or any other season for that matter) so I apply this to my hands every single night. The result? Lovely smooth hands all year round. I love the fact that this hand cream isn't greasy or anything so you don't get that horrible slimy feeling after you have applied it. The other thing I love about this product is the scent. I got the honey version as honey is a smell I can never get enough of.

Favourite Hair Product. Sebastian Thickefy Foam. This is a great product and something I have been loving and using a lot. It just gives my hair needless volume and makes my hair appear a lot thicker than it really is. I actually did a post on this here if you would like to see the full review.

Favourite Hair Spray. Loreal Paris Elnett Satin Hairspray. This is something I bought fairly recently as I was getting so fed up of fly aways when wearing my hair in a pony tail. I saw this in Boots and thought it sounded pretty good and was worth a try. Now I love it. It actually works and much better then a regular hair spray. I don't know whats in it that makes it work so well but its really tamed all those annoying fly aways I used to get. I will be repurchasing this thats for sure.

So thats it for my 2013 favourites. Im sorry I didn't include many hair products, I just totally forgot which is so awful of me.. I might do a separate post for them if I get a chance. :) What are your 2013 favourites? Anything you think I should try?

My beautiful new coat * Cute quote * Boxing day lunch * Onesie selfie * Christmas dinner - yummy * My Christmas sweatshirt * Sister selfie * Tiffany bracelet * Gorgeous Kate Spade purse * Carnaby Street lights * Christmas tree * My baby, Skye * Chocolate every day * New winter hat * My new favourite album * Christmas Costa cup

Hey everyone! I wanted to do another Instagram diary before I take too many photos in 2014. So this is basically the last one that is full of 2013 photos. They are mainly all from December with a few from November thrown in. So starting from the top, I bought this gorgeous coat the other day and I am totally in love with it! Its just the perfect shade of grey and I love the leather detailing on the collar. I just can't wait to show it off. Then I have this very colourful quote which I think is really true  and something I am aiming to achieve this year. The next few are from Christmas day and Boxing day such as dinner, my sister and I doing the standard Christmas selfie, me in my super cute reindeer onesie and of course, a shot of my Christmas jumper. I just loved the sparkle reindeers! I then wanted to include some presents that I received for Christmas like my stunning Tiffany bracelet and gorgeous Kate Spade purse. I love them both so so much! I then have a snap of Carnaby Street's Christmas lights which are so pretty and our Christmas tree this year. I love putting our Christmas tree up, its so much fun and really gets me in the festive mood. :) I had to include a photo of Skye at Christmas time with her red velvet collar which she soon gets sick of but she just looks so adorable in it! The last one from December is my advent calendar, I think you are never too old for a chocolate advent calendar and everyone should have one.

The last few are from November and they are of me posing with my brand new wooly hat, my new favourite album which is One Direction's 'Midnight Memories' which I have been listening too non stop (I am a 1D fan and I am not ashamed) and lastly is Costa's Christmas cups which I think are really cute. :)

So thats my Instagram Diary. I hope you enjoyed it and if you fancy following me on Instagram then that would be lovely.
