OPI Liquid Sand and Matte Topcoat

Hey Everyone! Hope your week went quick and you are ready for the weekend. I have finally been paid so I am super excited to spend some of my hard earned pennies. Don't you just think getting paid is the best feeling in the world? I love it! So todays post is on two new nail polishes I bought the other day. They are both by OPI, one is a matte topcoat and the other is one of their liquid sand polishes.

As you all know by now, I adore nail polish and OPI has to be my all time favourite brand so when I got an email about their new products I was super excited. I only bought one liquid sand polish because it was near the end of the month and I was trying to be careful. I couldn't not get the matte topcoat though, I have wanted one for a while and after reading a lot of reviews, OPI seemed to be the best one available. So here are my thoughts on them.

OPI Liquid Sand Polish in 'Pussy Galore'. So this is the second liquid sand collection OPI have released and it is based on bond girls old and new. I chose the shade 'Pussy Galore' which is a gorgeous pale pink. The photos don't really do it justice to be honest. When it dries, it dries to a lovely pale pearly pink with pink shimmer. It is stunning and I can't wait to wear it. I actually really love the liquid sand polishes, the effect is so cool, it lasts for days without chipping and you save yourself time by not having to apply a topcoat. Only downside is taking it off, that takes ages!

OPI Matte Topcoat. Just wow! I have wanted a matte topcoat for a while and like I said earlier, after reading reviews, OPI seemed the best way to go. But even I wasn't prepared for how amazing this really is. It literally transform your nail polish into something completely different. I love the effect and how smooth it leaves your nails. The finish is fantastic and hopefully you can see from my photo how different it looks from a normal topcoat. I have fallen in love with this product and it was worth every single penny. Eeep, I just love it!

Have you tried liquid sand polishes? What about the matte topcoat? What did you think?

Pretty Little Liars Style | Hanna

Pretty Little Liars Style | Hanna

Polyvore

Hey! Hope you are all well and having a great week so far. Todays post is another one in my Pretty Little Liars Style series and this is Hanna's style and how you too can achieve her look.

Hanna is my favourite liar out of the four. She gets all the best lines, has a heart of gold and her wardrobe is to die for so I was really looking forward to doing a post on her style. Hanna used to be the chubby, dorky girl and has now transformed herself into the popular girl so her style reflects her status completely. She doesn't fit into a certain 'style' as she pretty much uses a bit of everything. Her look is very hollywood and flirty and she goes all out everyday, so even if she is just at school, you'd think she was attending a party.

Hanna loves a floaty top or chiffon shirt in a variety of colours. This bright yellow shirt or cute teal ruffle front vest are very 'dressy' and would look perfect with black skinny jeans. If Hanna isn't wearing those black jeans she will be rocking a cute black skirt or something a little brighter like this gorgeous red pleated number. She often accentuates her waist so the fact this skirt has a coloured waistband fits perfectly with her style. For something to pair with a simple black skirt, why not try a girly, floaty vest with a embellished neckline. Again it nips in at the waist to enhance your figure and is very 'Hanna'. Hanna also wears a lot of gorgeous dresses in lots of different fabrics and colours. This coral one is perfect. Its very sophisticated and a perfect hollywood style dress. Pair it with a cute, black boyfriend style blazer. Hanna has a lot of blazers to toughen up her girly dresses.

Onto shoes, Hanna doesn't shy away from sky high heels and would think nothing of wearing them to school or out shopping. This stunning peachy pink pair is ideal and the flowers add a girly touch. If the idea of heels terrify you, then try a simple pair of black flats. When she is out in the woods or on a mission Hanna tends to stick with them. You can't go running around in heels when you are trying to catch A after all! Moving onto accessories, Hanna is never without a large handbag. She always looks perfectly polished and a large, chic handbag helps to complete the look. As for jewellery, be sure to stick with pretty eye-catching necklaces or pendants, chunky cocktail rings and gold studs or hoops.

So thats Hanna's style. What do you think? Who's style is more like yours?

New MAC Goodies

Hey ladies, hope you are well and enjoyed your three day weekend in the sunshine. Seeing as I had to work bank holiday Monday, which was a little depressing I had today off instead. So I have been enjoying the weather and went for a nice long country walk with the dog. Perfect! I just hope this sunny weather lasts for a bit longer then a few days. So today I am going to be sharing my new MAC purchases with you guys from their new collections.

I have been waiting for their new collections to launch for ages and ages so when they popped online the other week I couldn't wait to order some. So as soon as I got in from work I logged onto the website and set to work choosing the pieces I really wanted. This was pretty easy seeing as I had already decided ages ago what I'd purchase when it was launched in the US. I ended up with two paint pots, a tinted lip balm and a power chrome eye pencil. These are my thoughts on the products to far.

Paint pot in 'Mooncake' and 'Eclair'. £14.50 each. These lovely little pots of colour are from the Baking Beauties collection. I had my heart set on 'Mooncake' as soon as I had seen the promo photos. Its a gorgeous champagne colour and very natural. Its also a very subtle colour so its perfect for when you just want a little colour on your eyelids but nothing to dramatic. I also bought 'Eclair' which is a lovely chocolate brown with a slight shimmer to it. The reason I bought this is because I had seen a look created by Temptalia using these two shades and fell in love. I really like the formula of MAC paint pots too. They are really creamy and easy to apply and with a good primer, creasing is not a problem at all.

Powerchrome eye pencil in 'Copper Strip'. £16. This is from the Temperature Rising collection. I am a total sucker for brown eye liners on my lower lash line. I just love them, so I was instantly drawn to this gorgeous colour. In fact I loved every single one from the collection but I am unfortunately not made of money so I had to settle with just the one. This was my favourite one of the bunch. Its a lovely rich brown with a hint of sparkle to it. It is a super chunky pencil which I really like and it glides on like a dream. The staying power is amazing too. I can wear this all day long and it doesn't budge. I totally love this product!

Mineralize Tinted Lipbalm in 'Cheery Cheery'. £17. Lastly is the tinted lip balm. This is so cute! Its a lot smaller then I thought it would be but I can see it lasting for a while. I chose this colour because I am always drawn to pink shades however it doesn't really make much difference which one you pick as there isn't much colour to it anyway. It comes out of the tube pink but turns clear once you apply to your lips. This suits me fine as sometimes I don't want a heavily pigmented lip product but if its colour you're after then this might not be for you. It is very hydrating though and feels amazing on my lips.

Overall I am really impressed with what I purchased and the new MAC collections in general. All the new colours are perfect for spring/summer and something different to the usual. If I could have bought more, I definitely would have! Be sure to check them out yourself and if you have already got some then what did you think? Any new favourite products?

Lots of love

Essie Polishes

Hey Everyone. I am so happy its finally the weekend! The sun is shining and I've just been kicking it back, relaxing and enjoying the weather. Perfect! I love it when the evenings are lighter and warmer and you just get that summery feeling, which leads me into todays post, summery nail polishes. The other day I purchased four Essie polishes. They always do the perfect shades for spring/summer and what with the weather finally getting a bit better I decided to stock up a little.

It took me a while to actually choose which ones I wanted but after looking at lots of swatches I finally settled on these lovely four! As you can see, I did lean towards the pinks but they are my favourite kind of shades so what can I say? :) These are the shades I picked up.

Tart Deco. A gorgeous peach colour, this just looks amazing on my nails and just makes me think of summer, I can imagine this also looking fantastic with a tan in a couple of months. I just love it and have already worn this a few times.

Cute as a Button. I am currently wearing this at the moment and its really pretty! Its a nice pinkish coral and is the perfect springtime shade. I think this is going to be one of my favourites for a while.

Lovey Dovey. I love this! Its a really sweet pale yet bright pink. Again, I think this will look amazing with a tan and I am a huge sucker for these kind of pinks. Love love love!

Madison Ave-Hue. This is actually a new shade from their Spring 2013 collection. I don't actually have a colour like this at all in my collection (believe it or not!). Its a lovely purplish pink and its super pretty. Very excited to try this one out. :)

I really like Essie polishes, the formula is always really great and the colour selection is huge! There is a shade for everyone, so whether you want the summer brights or classic shades like red or black, you'll find what you're after. Do you have any of these Essie polishes? Which ones are your favourites?

My Haircare Routine Products

Hi, hope you are all well and are having a great week. I can't believe its Friday tomorrow, this week has flown by! The weekend can't come soon enough to be honest. Todays post is about the products I use in my everyday haircare routine. I tend to change products all the time so this is only what I am currently using. I'll be sure to do another post when it all changes again! So lets get started!

John Frieda Luxurious Volume Shampoo and Conditioner. So I actually purchased these near the beginning of the month which I mentioned in my haul here and they have become a firm favourite of mine. The shampoo really gives my hair a boost which I love and smells lovely, it has a nice clean smell to it which I can't explain. It claims to make your hair touchably soft which I can totally agree with. My hair feels great and once I use the conditioner afterwards it's completely tangle free too.

L'Oreal Hair Expertise Nourishing Intense Mask. Once a week I try to deep condition my hair with a mask which I leave on for about 10 minutes. I feel that my hair can feel a little dry and because I straighten or curl my hair and then constantly putting it up for work, it can need a little bit of TLC. This hair mask is brilliant. The smell is a-maz-ing, I cant put my finger on what it actually is but its so good! I could literally just sit there smelling it for hours, (strange I know). I really do feel as if my hair has had a good treatment once I wash this out and I always think it's a good idea to take that extra 10 minutes once a week for that little bit of pampering.

Mark Hill Big Blow! Volume Spray. This is like my third bottle of this. I just love it and use this before I blow dry my hair. Once I have towel dried my hair and combed it through, I spray this onto my roots to give it that little extra 'oomph'. It really works and if I ever forget to use it, my hair just looks and feels limp. I haven't found anything that works better yet so this is probably the thing I have been using the longest in my haircare routine.

Phil Smith Argan Oil Hair Transforming Cream. This little tube of goodness was actually a free gift with a magazine can you believe it? Normally I tend to never use the free gifts but I was really intrigued by this and thought I'd give it a go. Now I can't imagine not having it. Again this product smells amazing but it really makes the ends of hair feel soft and look less damaged. I use this just on the ends of my hair, after the volume spray and before I blow dry. Once this little tube is finished I'll definitely be purchasing a full sized one.

Charles Worthington Front-Row Heat Defence Spray. Lastly is my heat defence spray. Before I do any sort of straightening or curling I always spritz my hair with this spray. I hate sprays that come out in short bursts and don't cover a large area so you end up with wet hair that turns crispy. This spray is very fine but covers the hair evenly. I also spray this onto my comb or brush that I am using too as a little extra protection. Another product that I currently couldn't live without.

So there you have it, the products I use as part of my haircare routine. I hope you enjoyed this post and feel free to let me know if there are any volumising products you think I should try. What couldn't you currently live without in your haircare routine?
