Bourjois Queen Attitude Khol Kajal

Hey everyone! Hope you're enjoying your weekend so far. The weather is perking up a little bit and it is meant to be pretty hot and sunny tomorrow, yay! Maybe I can finally dig those shorts out? Anyway, todays post is just a quick little one on Bourjois Khol Kajal eyeliner and my thoughts on it.

So when I saw this in Boots the other day I was pretty excited. I have always wanted to try these sorts of eyeliners before but you can never ever find them. That is until Bourjois released this! Now first up, how cute is this packaging? I love it and its very 'Egyptian' with the lettering and the cute little ribbon attached to the end. Its a chunky cone shaped eyeliner inside and it never needs sharping which is brilliant news as I hate blunt eyeliners. You can just throw this in your everyday make up bag and know its always ready for use. The formula is really creamy and perfect for applying either to your waterline or your lash line and eyelid.

There are so many ways to use this but I have mainly been using it in my waterline. Its a lovely deep black and lasts for ages and doesn't leave you with panda eyes by the end of the day. However, if you wanted too, you could create a lovely smokey eye with this as it is super blend-able when first applied.

I really love this product and seeing as I am quite fussy when it comes to black eyeliners, I was really impressed! Definitely worth a try. Have you tried Bourjois Khol Kajal? What did you think?

Nail Polish Haul

So I have bought quite a few nail polishes recently and just thought why not include them all in a mini haul post? I didn't get them all at the same time, I have just managed to accumulate them over the last couple of weeks. I don't think I actually realise how many polishes I buy in a month, its pretty insane really but hey, you can never have too many polishes right? So these are the shades I picked up..

Essie 'Fiji'. I have seen so many people rave about this colour and how its one of their permanent  favourites. I can totally see why! Its a gorgeous creamy pale pink and I can imagine it looking fantastic with a tan. I am so excited to paint my nails this colour.

Essie 'Sunday Funday'. This is from their new Summer 2013 collection and its my sort of colour. Its a lovely orangey coral with a subtle shimmer to it. Very summery and my perfect sort of shade.

Essie "Rock the Boat'. Also from their Summer 2013 collection is this stunning french blue. Its got a nice shimmer to it and not something I usually pick up but I loved it. I think I am definitely starting to purchase a lot more blue polishes.

Sinful Colors 'Unicorn'. Onto a new brand that I have only heard of recently. These polishes cost just £1.99 each which is a total bargain and the quality is still amazing. I managed to wear this on my nails for about 3-4 days without the slightest chip. I chose this colour mainly because of the name (sad I know) but it is a lovely shade of pastel yellow. I love it!

Sinful Colors 'DareDevil'. This is super bright fuchsia and its gorgeous! Its the perfect bright pink for the summer but doesn't look tacky or too in your face. Its got a sort of pearly finish to it which makes it slightly different from your standard neon shades.

Sinful Colors "Be Happy'. Another blue shade but this one doesn't have any shimmer to it or anything. Its really pretty and again, not something I normally go for. I was just really drawn to it. I can't wait to try this out on my nails too!

So thats a little run down of the shades I bought this month. Have any of you tried Sinful Colors before? What did you think? Any shades you think I should try?

Lots of love

IMATS Haul

Hey ladies, hope you all had a fantastic weekend. Yesterday I went to IMATS in London for the first time with my sister who is a make up artist. It was amazing, I had such a great time and didn't really want to leave! It is a make up lovers dream. Everywhere you look there are people covered head to toe in body art, airbrushes being used and demonstrations everywhere. It was such a lovely atmosphere and buzzing with people. I did post a few photos on my Instagram (@luci36) so feel free to take a look. As for the stands, there were so many fantastic places to shop and pick up things at 'show price' you didn't know where to start.

Todays post is just a quick look at the items i bought yesterday. Most of them are brushes mainly because their prices were so good and you will all know that good quality brushes can be quite pricey most of the time. So lets get started...

First up we went over to Crown brushes because they are meant to be brilliant, I did get a little carried away filling up my red plastic basket full of brushes but managed to narrow it down to just the eight in the end. I mainly picked up eye brushes because I never seem to have enough and wanted to stock up while I had the chance but I also purchased this chunky buffing brush which I thought would be fantastic for applying foundation. Staying with brushes, a little later on in the day we came across Bdellium Tools which I had never actually heard of before. I was drawn to their stand because they had pink, yellow and green brushes! I am a total sucker for coloured brushes and when I saw how much they were charging for them I knew I had to have a couple. I went with the pink brushes (of course) and settled on two face brushes and another eye one. They look gorgeous and they are so soft! I would love to get more but I can't seem to find them here in the UK which makes me even more pleased that I bought them.

Now onto the make up I purchased. I didn't actually go mad with make up even though I was convinced I would and did stick to brands that were harder to get here in the UK normally. We stopped off at Make Up Forever which is very well loved by make up artists. I picked up this concealer palette in no1. I have kind of wanted one like this for a while and thought this would be a great brand to try. The concealers are super creamy and blend really well into my skin. I love the different skin shades and there is a nice orange to cover up those bags and a green to hide that redness. Next we went to Inglot which is a brand I have wanted to try since I went to New York. I loved the idea of their Freedom System. You basically pick the size palette you want and then the colours you wish to add to it. I opted for the three slot palette and then these gorgeous shades! I chose browns because thats what I use most of the time. I wish i had a lot more money to spend and got a larger palette. There were some amazing colours and the whole experience of choosing was so much fun!

So thats what I picked up at IMATS this year. I loved it so much and I can't wait to go again next year. If you haven't been then I highly recommend it! If you did go this year whether its here in London or in  another country what did you pick up? What was your experience like? I would love to hear. :)

Lots of love

London Shopping Haul

Hey everyone! Yes, I went to London to do a spot of shopping... again! It was such a lovely sunny day and there were so many good bargains around I ended up purchasing a few lovely things! Today I just wanted to share with you what I managed to pick up.

So first up, Selfridges were having a sale! I don't normally bother because I can never really afford anything but this time I thought I would pop in and have a little look around. Managed to find Wildfox products for such crazily cheap prices, I actually couldn't believe it! I love Wildfox clothing, their designs are so cute and the baggy beach jumpers are beyond comfortable. However they are ridiculously expensive and I only ever purchase something when I have a voucher or they have some sort of deal on. Well I saw this gorgeous pale pink, bow print baggy beach jumper on the rack for just £40. These normally retail at £100 so I was thrilled! I also spotted this super baggy but lovely diamond vest top which was in the sale for £20. Again, Wildfox T-shirts can be priced at anything from £40-£60. I thought it would be perfect tucked into shorts or worn over a bikini or something.

Next up I popped into Topshop in Oxford Street as usual. I just love that shop, its huge and the selection is amazing! I have been wanting a cropped T-shirt for ages and found this really cute but simple red one. Also along the lines of T-shirts, I picked up this 'basket ball jersey' style top. I love these so much! When ever I have tried them on in the past they totally swamp me. Im pretty short so they just looked stupid. This one however, fitted perfectly and I love the colours. Afterwards I then had a little look in Victoria's Secret. I did go a little crazy and bought so much but I'm pretty sure you don't want to see what undies I got from there! I did pick up this cute little floral bandeau top though which I think is perfect with those baggy vests with the huge arm holes and a foaming body wash which was in the 50% off sale. Its the same scent as the body mist I have been wearing every day lately which is amazing!

Lastly I went into Forever 21 to have a little mooch around. I love looking in the jewellery section because everything is so cheap! I have a huge thing about rings at the moment so managed to pick up a couple of cute gold ones and these cute studded earrings. I did also purchase a new phone case for just £3 but I forgot to take a photo!

So thats what I managed to pick up. It was a super successful shopping trip actually, don't you just love it when that happens? I love reading haul posts so if any of you have done any shopping recently then I would love to take a look! :)

Beauty Things I Suck At

Photo from Tumblr
Hey my lovelies, hope you are all well and ready for the weekend! I now have a whole 10 days off work so I intend to make the most of it, I'll also fit in a few blogs posts too. Today I wanted to do the 'Beauty Things I Suck At' post. As much as I love makeup and all things beauty I am not a pro by all means and there are some things I am not very good at all! Here is my list of beauty related things I am totally useless at!

Liquid Eyeliner.

I am so terrible at applying liquid eyeliner to my lash line. Its actually embarrassing how bad I am. I really don't understand how some people can do it so easily. The amount of times I have watched people do it and thought, 'oh that doesn't look too difficult' and then tried it myself. Nightmare! I pride myself as someone who has a pretty steady hand but give me a liquid eyeliner and I turn into a shaky mess. My line goes all over the place and just looks awful.

Applying False Eyelashes.

Grrr these just wind me up no end. I love false eyelashes and think they look great on a night out and I am lucky enough to have a make up artist as a sister who can apply them like a dream. However when I do them myself.. disaster! I just can't seem to do it. Its not from lack of trying but I either place to far away from my lash line or I get the glue everywhere! I think I am just too kack handed to actually pull it off. Its super frustrating and I think I will just continue to ask my sister for help!

Apply Fake Tan.

Luckily I am not one for applying fake tan all the time as its just a lot of bother and effort to be honest. However it would be nice to be able to apply it now and again and get a flawless finish. When I have in the past its just gone all streaky and I can never seem to get the back of my arms and legs even or anything. Its just so difficult! How on earth do people actually do this on a regular basis?

Give Myself A Proper Blowout.

How gorgeous does it look when people leave the hair salon with lovely big bouncy hair? Can I recreate it myself? No way! I dry my hair with a hair dryer all the time and I cant seem to use one hand for the brush and another for the hairdryer.. Does anyone else have this problem or is it just me?

So there you have it, my list of what I am totally useless at. Do any of you find the same things difficult? For those of you who don't, any tips? If you haven't done this post yet then it would be great to give it a go. :)

June Glossybox

Hey ladies. Hope you are all well and that your week is going quickly so far. I have one more day at work tomorrow and then I have ten whole days off! I am so excited, I really feel as if I need some time off. It will be very well deserved! Anyway, its that time of month to tell you about what I received in this months Glossybox. Now I will be honest, this wasn't such an amazing one for me this time around and I do feel like you get that a couple of times throughout the year with these boxes. Some are amazing and others just don't hit the spot. This is what I found in mine...

Q Body Spray. I'll start with the things I liked the most and this was one of them. It doesn't actually cost a lot to repurchase which is good and the smell is lovely! It has a lovely floral scent to it and its almost a refreshing smell. I really like it and because the spray is so fine, you don't feel as if you are spraying too much. I actually really liked this product.

Figs and Rouge 'Coco Rose' lip balm. I was pretty excited to see this in my box as you can't go wrong with a lip balm and the packaging is really cute! It also claims to be more than just your average lip balm. You can use it on your cuticles, elbows and knees, tame eyebrows and even add a little sheen to your eyelids. Its a multi purpose balm basically. I think this is something I'll pop in my bag and then I will always have something to use!

Monu Professional Skincare Hydrating Moisturiser with SPF15. I have a ridculous amount of moisturisers but I am always up for giving another one a try. This one sounds super hydrating and I like the sound of this soft focus technology which claims to blur imperfections and correct skin tone. Would be amazing if it can achieve that. It also has SPF15 which I think is quite important when purchasing a moisturiser. This product will have to pretty amazing if I was too repurchase it myself though as its nearly £30 for full size!

Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse OR. Okay, this might sound really bad but I have never even heard of this brand before, let alone the product. It does look pretty interesting and I'll be sure to give it a try but I'm not sure why anyone would pay the full size price of £34. It seems quite a lot for what it is. Its basically a multi purpose dry oil which can be used on your face, hair and body as either a illuminator, a face spray or something to strengthen and hydrate hair. I might change my mind once I give it a go. I'll have to wait and see! On the plus side, the smell is amazing! Very 'summer in a bottle'.

Paul Mitchell Curls Leave in Treatment and Ultimate Wave. I wasn't that impressed when I saw these two little tubes in my box mainly because my hair isn't actually curly at all. I love to curl my hair with a curling iron to create soft waves and I love that 'beach waves' look but I'm not sure how well these two will help me achieve that. It takes ALOT to make my hair curly/wavy so will be interesting to see how well these work. I'll keep you posted :).

Overall, maybe not the best Glossybox I have ever got but it wasn't a total disaster. There are a few products I think I could try out and possibly fall in love with, I'll just have to see. Did you get Junes Glossybox? What did you think of the products this month?

Holiday Presents

Hey everyone! Today's post is just going to be a quick one on a few little goodies my sister brought back from Barcelona for me. I was really surprised as I didn't expect to receive anything like this. I was super happy and it made the fact I have yet to experience some decent sunshine not nearly as bad! :)

So both gifts were from Sephora. I didn't even know they had a Sephora in Barcelona but apparently they do (so can we hurry up and get one in the UK too please?). First up are these really cute body washes. I did get four but I have already tested one out. I used it as bubble bath and it seriously made a lot of bubbles! So I guess this product can be used for different things. The scents I got were 'toffee' which is the one I already tested out, 'vanilla', 'strawberry' and 'peony'. I just love them and think it was such a lovely gift idea.

The other present she bought me was this tinted lip balm which is amazing! Its a gorgeous pink which looks gorgeous on the lips but is still quite subtle so it could be worn whenever and not look 'too much'. It is also super hydrating which feels lovely and I can wear this for quite a long time without my lips feeling dry or needing to reapply. So impressed!

She also bought me two rope style bracelets which I didn't take a photo of (sorry!) and they are so cute! So a huge thank you to my sister! I love all my presents and they were such a surprise too. :)

Does anyone else like getting little gifts when people go on holiday? Have you tried any of these Sephora products before? What did you think?

MAC Lipstick | Flamingo

Natural Light
With Flash
Hey ladies! Hope you have been enjoying your weekend so far. Weekends are over way too quick don't you think? If only week days were the same! Anyway, todays post is on a new MAC lipstick I purchased the other week. Its from their 'All About Orange' collection which I think has a fantastic selection of shades but I finally settled on 'Flamingo'.

I think Flamingo was released in a collection last year but I never managed to pick it up, this time I was lucky! Its basically a gorgeous milky pink with a hint of coral to it. Its stunning shade and because it is a lustre (which happen to my favourite finish) it isn't chalky and still moisturising. As far as lustres go, 'Flamingo' has more colour pay off then your standard lustre lipstick but is still gives a natural sheen. I love it so much!

It's definitely going to be one of my favourite pink shades I own, purely because its a nice every day yet summery kind of shade. Unfortunately I do think it is now sold out on the MAC website but you may still be able to get hold of it in the stores.

Have any of you tried any of the products from the 'All About Orange' collection? What did you think?

Lots of love

Shopaholic Tag

Photo from Tumblr

Hey everyone! I have been meaning to this tag for a while and finally had the chance to do it. I am a huge shopaholic and thought this would be the ideal tag for me. So here goes!

How old were you when you realised you were a shopaholic?

Since forever? I know that sounds pretty crazy but for as long as I can remember I have loved shopping and buying new and pretty things. When I was younger I would walk into a toy store and immediately find 20 different things that I loved and felt that I needed. Im exactly the same now! I just love looking few new and exciting things to buy!

How do you feel after shopping, and do you have any weird habits you do after shopping?

I feel fantastic after a successful shopping trip. There is nothing quite like that feeling you get when you have lots of shopping bags filled to the brim with lots of pretty, new things. I just love it. Sometimes if I know I have gone a little crazy, I do feel a little guilty that I spent so much but that soon goes because to me, its worth it. I guess the only thing I do when I finish shopping is putting everything away as soon as I get in. I like it to all be put in the right place.

What are your top 5 favourite stores to shop at and why?

Ooooo tough one! Well for clothing I would say Topshop (thats a no brainer) and Zara because you can nearly always find something in one of their stores. As for make up I would say MAC because its my all time favourite and who doesn't like spending hours in department stores like Selfridges? I love it in there even thought I often get distracted looking at all the gorgeous things I can't afford. Lastly I would say Victorias Secret because I love every single thing in that store. Their lounge wear is a-maz-ing!

What item do you have the most of in your closet?

Well depends on the time of the year. In the winter I have so many pairs of jeans and jumpers its actually unreal! However in the summer I am stocked up with shorts and T-shirts. It changes a lot!

Whats the most you have ever spent on one shopping trip?

Ummm a lot? If I go up to Oxford Street I can normally spend up to £200?

Do you ever experience shoppers regret?

Very rarely. I tend to only buy things I know I am going to wear or use. I would never buy something for the sake of it unless I literally feel like I can't walk away, which has happened occasionally with pairs of shoes. Sometimes I do buy make up products that I don't really use all that often which I have spent a fair bit on but I would never say I regret buying them. How are you supposed to know if you like something without trying it?

What was something you regretted buying?

Shoes.. I went through a phase of buying lots of heels and I don't actually wear high heels all the much unless I am going out so I don't know why I felt like I needed so many? Thats probably something I regret spending so much of my money on.

What is your favourite thing to buy?

Make up first and for most because there is always something I need or want to try and nail polishes because there are always new shades that I haven't had. As for clothing I would say I buy a lot of jumpers in the winter. I can easily end up with more then I can wear and rings.. I love buying rings!

Do you buy the same items in different colours?

Yes! All the time! If I find something that fits like a dream such as Topshop jeans, I'll purchase them in other shades too and I find casual, plain T-shirts are worth getting in several colours because they are so practical. You never know when they might come in handy.

Do you ever use dressing rooms?

Yes! Its all part of the excitement. trying lot of different things on and seeing which looks the best. Tops are pretty easy but I find jeans or shorts vary in size in every store so it makes sense to try them on. As far as dresses go, I always have to try them on. Being only 5'3", some are just ridiculously long on me so that is a must.

Do you prefer to go shopping alone, or with others?... and who is your favourite shopping buddy?

I prefer to go shopping with someone because I like to get different peoples opinions and you can really make a day of it, like going for lunch midway through or get a drink. My sister would be my favourite shopping buddy as she knows exactly what I like and what looks good. She is also really blunt and honest so I know if something looks rubbish on me. I do tonnes of online shopping though so I guess thats shopping alone...

If you could go shopping with a celeb, who would it be and why?

Probably someone like Kate Middleton as could you imagine the sorts of shops you would get to visit? It would be amazing! Ooooo or Victoria Beckham because she always looks amazing and I might get to meet David Beckham at the same time.. bonus! :)

Whats your favourite treat/snack/drink during or after shopping?

I always have a bottle of water in my handbag so I always have a drink on me and we would normally stop of somewhere and have a nice quick lunch to rest our legs before carrying on. Occasionally maybe getting a pizza afterwards?

What is something you have always wanted to buy but never had the money to do so?

A designer handbag without a doubt. When I walk into Selfridges and see all those gorgeous leather handbags lined up I just fall in love. I would love love love to own a designer handbag but I can't see how I would ever have enough money for one, unless I marry someone super rich...

If you had £1000 to spend on anything you want, what would you splurge on?

A designer handbag? Or lots and lots of make up and make up brushes? Ooooo or maybe put it towards a trip to New York? That way I could save up some money and do some shopping over there. I think that is exactly what I would do. :)

Are you a proud shopaholic?

Yes! Absolutely! :)

Now I tag all of you to do this tag. I would love to see your answers. If you have already done it then leave a link to your page below. :)

NOTD | Essie - In The Cab-Ana

Hey everyone! So todays post is my first nail or the day and seeing as I am a huge fan of nail polish, I felt I really ought to do one. :) So the shade I am currently wearing is Essie's 'In The Cab-Ana which is a lovely bright turquoise/blue. I am a huge Essie fan in the summer months. I just think their colours are perfect for the sunshine and can really give your outfit a boost. They only cost between £5.99 and £7.99 which I think is brilliant for such good quality.

I have wanted this polish for a while and ended up finally purchasing it along with a few other products on BeautyBay. You can see what else I bought here if you fancy a look. :) Anyway, as soon as I applied the polish to my nails, I fell in love. It was everything I thought it would be and was so bright  and summery! The formula is brilliant as nearly all Essie polishes are but this also looked great and very opaque after just one coat. I applied a second purely out of habit really. :) I'm not sure the photos really do the colour justice, I think its a lot brighter in person.

So if you are looking for a new summer nail polish then I highly recommend this one! Any other Essie polishes I should try for summer?

Selfridges Summer Beauty Box

Hey ladies! Hope your weekend is going well and you've had a chance to enjoy some of the rare sunshine we have been having the last couple of days. Its been lovely outside its just a shame I've had to work through some of it. Boo! Anyway on to todays post. The other day I saw a few people tweeting about purchasing the Selfridges Summer Beauty Box. I had no idea what this was so quickly logged onto the website had a little look. As soon as I saw the photos I knew I had to get one!
The Selfridges Summer Beauty box costs just £25 and included nine designer and high end brand products to test out and enjoy related to summer, basically its like a luxurious Glossybox. The products value all adds up to an amazing £70 which is fantastic seeing as you only pay a quarter of that. I couldn't believe these boxes existed and I had never heard of it before! Unfortunately they are all sold out now which sucks but I thought I would share with you what was inside this limited edition box.

Let me just quickly say, that the packaging is amazing! First up, it arrives in what looks like a standard cardboard box but when opened, it has the signature Selfridges yellow interior with super cute tissue paper around the box itself. The box is a lovely shiny white with 'Selfridges & Co' printed on the corner and again filled with super cute yellow polka dot tissue paper complete with a 'wow' sticker. I just think its a really nice touch and makes you feel as if you have purchased something really special. If this is how Selfridges packs all their products, then I think I might order more from there when I really feel like treating myself. Anyway, onto the products..

Aqua Splash Tangle Teezer. RRP £12.99. Like I have said before, my hair gets very tangled when I have just washed it and I like using these gentle brushes to comb them out. The fact that I got a full sizes brush in this box is amazing and I can't wait to test this out!

Models Own Neon Nail Polish in 'Bubblegum'. RRP £5.00. You should all know by now that I am a nail polish addict so I was really excited! This colour is gorgeous and I have used Models Own polishes before so I know that the formula is brilliant and is very long wearing. The perfect shade for the summer and when you have that golden tan.

St Tropez Instant Glow Face Lotion 50ml. RRP £10.25. This looks really good, St Tropez products can be really expensive and I'm not the sort of girl to spend lots of money on tanning products that I am totally useless with. However this looks like something I would definitely try out. Its a lotion that you just smooth onto your face and neck and leaves you with a golden glow, perfect for when real sunbathing just isn't an option.

Molton Brown Aqua Shower Gel 100ml. Full size RRP £18.00. I love Molton Brown products! They always smell amazing and this one is no exception. Its a really summery kind of smell and very refreshing. Its also a reasonable size too so it will last a while too. I cant wait to use this!

Lancaster After Sun 40ml. Full size RRP £22.00. I'm always one for finding a really good aftersun. There is nothing worse then working on that perfect tan and then not protecting yourself afterwards. Very interested to see how this one works and whats more, its also a tan maximiser too! So its works to prolong and deepen your tan slightly as well. If this works, then I have a feeling I'll be hooked.

Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray 50ml. Full size RRP £20.50. So excited to see this was included in the box! I have been wanting to try Bumble and Bumble products for ages and this surf spray looks pretty good! Who isn't after that sexy, wind swept look to their hair that you can achieve naturally on a beach? This can do it for you! So excited to give this a go. I hope it works because I would love to be able to achieve that look on a daily basis.

Caudalie Beauty Elixir 30ml. RRP £10.35. Eeek! Can't believe this was included in the box! I have heard so many brilliant things about this product around the blogging world and now I can try it for myself. Its apparently meant to help tighten pores and smooth out your skin whilst giving your skin added radiance. Should be interesting to see what whether this will work for me or not. I'll keep you posted. :)

Erborian BB Cream 12ml. Full size RRP £13.00. I like trying out different BB Creams and this one looks pretty interesting and claims to give you the 'Baby Skin' effect. I have never heard of this brand before but I'll give it a go as its meant to blend into your skin perfectly for a good tonal coverage. Exciting stuff. :)

Jane Tran Hair Clips. RRP £8.00. This is a cute little extra and something I'll use just to see what they look like. I haven't ever heard of the brand or anything but I am assuming they are pretty good. Just a nice little extra touch.

So overall I am really impressed with Selfridges Summer Beauty Box and everything thats included. Its well worth the £25 and gives you lots of new designer products to try out. Did any of you get hold of this box? What did you think or the products included?
